I've decided that 2011 will be a year of FOCUS. Of focusing on God, on my family, on growing in my own identity, of developing my photography, and telling the story of our family. That's it. If I can manage to do all those things, then I will consider 2011 a smashing success. It will be a year of being intentional about my life, the way I spend my days and outside things to which I devote my time. FOCUS. I don't want to waste a single minute. So here it is. A little blog hallmarking the journey that I will take this year.
I have been very inspired by the manner in which Ali Edwards tells the story of her family. You can check out her blog and see why! She has an amazing gift of expressing her heart. I was also touched by Shannon Heimsoth's Project 365. I stumbled upon her work on Clickin' Moms and absolutely love the way she documented her life through words and photography in 2010. She inspired the term I used, "Simple Joys". I tried to find something different, but it just so aptly summarized what I was trying to do with my project, I went with it.

So this is the beginning. The first two pictures, taken on December 31st, 2010. I can already see how meaningful and rewarding this experience will be and have captured two of the things that have made my heart smile of late.
Colton is forever using his toes to play with the tray on his high chair. Love his little baby feet so much! And we are walking the daily and oh-so-exciting road of potty training Liv. But there is nothing cuter than little baby buns in training pants, that's for certain!
